Starting in the 1970s, Superior Industries has become an industry leader in crushing, screening, washing, and conveying solutions for the world’s dry bulk producers.

The Project

Superior needed to create a design for a hydrocyclone, a tool used to classify raw aggregate media into desirable products like sand, gravel, and larger rock. This required completing a complex CAD model whose geometry needed to follow a path defined by an involute spiral equation.

Applied assigned a team of talented engineers to collaborate with Superior to assist in developing the new hydrocyclone product line. They were able to create a design that was compatible with Superior’s manufacturing capabilities and expertise.
