Fusion 360 and Generative Design

Give your engineers the power of rapid and broad exploration of design ideas while factoring in material options, performance requirements, and alternate manufacturing methods with generative design in Fusion 360.

What is generative design?

Generative design is a design exploration process. Designers or engineers input design goals into the generative design software, along with parameters such as performance or spatial requirements, materials, manufacturing methods, and cost constraints. The software explores all the possible permutations of a solution, quickly generating design alternatives. It tests and learns from each iteration what works and what doesn’t.

Vault Copy Design

Create new design objects by copying existing data within a vault with the Copy Design feature. The Copy Design feature creates a copy of the design with the same structure as the source files. In the Copy Design dialog box, you can choose which parts of an existing design to copy, reuse, replace, exclude, or remove.

Watch the video below to see what’s new in the Vault Copy Design feature.
