Radar Simulation Engineer

Applied Engineering, Inc. is accepting applications for talented Radar Countermeasure and Electronic Countermeasure Engineers in Grand Forks, ND. The Radar Countermeasure (RFCM) and Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) Engineer role is responsible for working with a team to develop a new (RFCM) system for ECM targeting.  Qualified candidates will have experience in at least one the following areas: Electronic Warfare (EW) system or design engineering, ECM, RFCM, Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), Radar threat analysis, EW techniques, Digital RF memory (DRFM), electronic attack (EA), electronic support measures (ES), self-protection jamming (EP), escort jamming, or RF expendables.  Other responsibilities of this role will be supporting engineering development efforts that provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, hardware/software development, platform integration, and test strategies for RFCM systems and subsystems.

Radar Simulation Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science; Master’s preferred
  • Experience in ECM technique development
  • Experience in Radar warning receiver design
  • Ability to work independently/self-directed and as a member of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Desire to work on a variety of projects
